Just the SAT for now. There is no need to make extra work for yourself, at this point in time.

Thanks for the update. Given that we have interacted online a bit, I feel like I can be tough on you. Here goes:

The 500 in Writing is unacceptable for you. You need to buckle down and practice until your Writing score is consistently in the 700s. There is no reason a student with 670 in CR and 760 in Math can’t get his Writing score up into the 700s.

I really think you owe it to yourself to make this happen. The silver lining is that doing so will actually make you a better writer! Good luck.

Uurg, now its my writing thats really low. I thought I would have done way better on the writing.

Although your Reading score is relatively low, your composite is very solid. While your Math and Science will not “cancel out” the low Reading, they show that you are a bright student and a good learner.

If asked to submit test scores, you should submit both your SAT and ACT scores.

Overall, I’m happy about my scores, but I am a bit concerned about my reading and writing subscore. Do colleges really care that much about your essay? In addition, do you think that my high science and math scores will cancel out the bad reading score?

The answer depends on whether you are a Michigan resident. If you are, you have a pretty good change of getting in with your current scores. If you are not, you should work to get your CR score into the 600s.

Having only one extracurricular activity is not a problem, as long as it is one that you are very interested in and committed to.
