Hi, I got a 2400 when I was in 8th grade… I am wondering if this score is good?

I’m an eighth grader and I got a 2060 on the SAT overall–800
for critical reading, 650 for writing, and 610 for math (with
an 8 on the essay). I was wondering a) is that good? and b) how
to get higher on the math and writing.

Hi,
I am currently in the 10th grade.
I got a 1940
Critical Reading – 610
Math – 640
Writing – 690
Essay – 11
GPA – 3.8
Oh and also my brother got a 1510. He is going into the 10th grade also.
Critical Reading – 450
Math – 520
Writing – 540
Essay – 9
GPA – 3.5
Are these scores any good? We both want to go to Santa Clara University.

Hello,
I recently took the SAT & I scored a 1220 on it. My essay was an 8, and my highest grade in the subjects was Math. I’m a NY Resident & I wanted to know should I work more on my essay or just leave it as it is? Thanks in advance.

I am going into ninth grade but i took the sat as an 8th grader. I received a 640 for reading an 8 on the essay a 720 for writing and I know my math score of 490 is really bad but overall I guess it is a 1850. Is this okay for my age group?

Hello I am a junior in high school and took the sat. I am woundering if i recieved good scores i recieved a 430 on the reading, 410 math , 340 on writting , 30 on the multiple choice and an 8 on the essay

Susan, I am going to be a senior, and I too am confused about my writing score. I received a 2080 overallon the SAT, yet only a 6 in the writing. A 6.

This correlated to my poor ACT writing score, which is a 9 (I received a composite of 36). This is the first time I have ever had problems with writing. My teachers all love my writing style, and I currently take IB English as well as Theory of Knowledge(not a writing class, but it requires a much higher level of thought). I took AP Language my sophomore year and received a 5.

How the heck did I get a 6? I used two separate, explicit examples (the eradication of small pox and the move towards urbanization) in order to develop what I thought was a clear thesis on the question. While it was not incredibly lengthy, it took up over a page and a half with my small writing. I use a reasonably high level of vocabulary, and never struggle with spelling. Perhaps I made a few small grammar mistakes, but they would certainly not be distracting to the essay.
